Monte Carlo Analysis

The demo's engine and posted pay tables, dealt as sessions of 250 rounds. A new session is dealt every second and drawn over the ones before it, faded, so the cloud is the range that betting style actually lands in; the bright line is the average so far. A division every 50 rounds. Every profile in a session is dealt the same cards. Figures are play-money units. House share is (wagered − returned) ÷ wagered — what the house kept of every unit bet in this run. Over a few sessions it is mostly noise; over enough rounds it settles on that pattern’s house edge. It is not casino hold: hold is win ÷ drop, is only measured at a live table, and this page does not estimate it. For scale, every bet on a double-zero roulette wheel carries a 5.26% house edge.

The demo's engine and posted pay tables, run for thousands of rounds with nothing on the felt. Every profile is dealt the identical sequence of rounds, so the lines compare point for point. Figures are play-money units. House share is (wagered − returned) ÷ wagered — what the house kept of every unit bet in this run; with enough rounds it settles on that pattern’s house edge, and the ± says how far it may still be off. Mode

Run deals one session of 250 rounds, then another every second until Stop. Changing profiles or the session length starts a fresh cloud.

Session length 250 rounds

Rounds per session. The end-of-session columns in the table (std dev, sessions ahead, worst · best) are taken at this length, so a short session shows what one sitting looks like.

Profiles

A profile is one betting pattern, wagered the same way every round. Pick one or more — each becomes a line on the chart.

Put chips on the table, then save them here or with Add to Monte Carlo on the Table tab. You name each one as you save it. Saved profiles stay in this browser.

Rounds 10,000 per run

Same cards re-deals the previous run's exact sequence (its deal number is in the note below), so two runs differ only by what you changed.

Pick one or more profiles and press Run.

Every session

Each faded line is one session. The shaded band is the average ±1 standard deviation; the brightest lines are each profile's best and worst session.

The averages, close up

The average of all sessions so far. The thin band is the average's own uncertainty (±1 standard error) and narrows as sessions accumulate.
